About Miriam,
Pizzaiola & Owner
Head pizzaiola and owner Miriam Weiskind hails from Brooklyn, New York now bringing her passion and artistry in pizza making to Portland, Oregon.
Miriam, founder of The Za Report, first gained accolades teaching pizza with Scott Wiener of Scott’s Pizza Tours in NYC. About a decade later, she began baking pizza and during the pandemic helped to launch the pizza popup scene in NYC and beyond.
During the pandemic, she baked more than 5,000 pizzas from her 350’ Brooklyn apartment to help New Yorkers in need.
Having starred on The Food Network’s CHOPPED and Hulu’s Best in Dough, Miriam has gained international recognition in pizza for her eccentric pizza recipes and craft in creating a truly special dough.
Prior to moving to Portland, Miriam was written up in the New York Times by Pete Wells as one of NYC’s best new aspiring pizza masters in NYC having baked pizza he could only dream about.
When not baking pizza, Miriam is a proud mom to her pup and can be found running for hours at end through the Cascade mountains in the PNW.
The Za Report’s pizza dream has found a new place to bring the pizza dream to a brick and mortar.

Reservations and General FAQs

We do offer take-out on Wednesday, Thursday and Sundays, subject to availability. Take-out orders can be ordered over the phone or in person.

The largest parties we allow for booking at this time is 10. Because we have a small space and high demand, we limit large parties at this time to accommodate smaller parties to join us for dinner.
For parties this size, we do also offer a pre-fix option ranging fro $45-75/pp
All parties of 6 or more are automatically charged a 20% service fee.
We ask that all large parties be booked out at least a week in advance.

All reservations will be managed by OpenTable beginning August 20th. Please make all requests through OpenTable.

Yes! Our gluten-free pizzas are not round pies, but they are 8×10 Sicilian pizzas. You can have any pizza made as gluten-free except for our marinara.
They are Sicilian so that we are able to bake in the same oven, but in a pan to reduce cross contamination.
We use a premium gluten-free flour from Italy that requires a longer process to make. Because of the time and quality of ingredients used, we do charge an additional $4 for this pizza.
It is prepared on separate days from our other doughs. We are a pizzeria with flour used in many places, so we are not able to guarantee the gluten-free pizzas are 100% clear of all cross-contamination.
Gluten-free pizzas are available for a limited number each day. Please be sure to call ahead to see if we have enough for when you arrive.

The parking in the lot directly outside of Yum’s and the parking garage beneath, is paid parking. Please be sure to pay for parking to avoid a ticket.
There is free parking available on all side streets as well, just a short walking distance to Yum’s.

Yes of course! We have a limited number of high chairs and booster seats. We like to let parents know that we lean more on the fine dining side, with louder music playing and ask to plan accordingly. If booking a reservation, please be sure to request a highchair or booster so we can properly seat you at tables best suited for them.
